Objets Mito by Abid Javed invites viewers to experience an alien landscape of mitochondrial biology, through a series of art objects. Recognised for his ‘molecular objects’, Abid Javed has developed an identity by sharing his insights from the unseen world we live in, re-imagined as abstract, biomorphic forms.

The studio space encompasses developing small collections under ‘Editions’, where each Edition showcases a new body of work, pulling in a biological narrative and exploring the relationship between form, materiality and function with a surrealist approach. Therefore each Edition becomes unique with respect to its dialogue, encompassing a collection of ‘Objets’ (Objects), handmade in clay (and other materials) to illuminate the visceral space of mitochondrial biology. Each object is carefully crafted with a narrative infused - ready to transform imaginative interior spaces.
